Hi CRLA Attorneys,

We have received updated information about the process to sign up for California Lawyers Association (CLA) membership. A free subscription will now be provided. Please read below for updated instructions:

If you haven't completed the on-line payment process, the new instruction is that you can ignore Step 7 of my previous instructions in the Payment by Mail Bar Dues Instructions.  Just skip through that page and follow the rest of the previous instructions.

If you have already completed the on-line payment process, there is no need for you to make any changes.

ALL attorneys who want to receive a complementary membership to the CLA, please complete the 1 minute survey below by 03/21/25. I will submit this information directly to the CLA. The complementary membership includes membership in one of the following sections: https://calawyers.org/cla/our-sections/

Attention CRLA Attorneys! Instructions to renew your bar license are below. There are several components to the renewal and attorneys in compliance group 1 (last names A-G),  will need to complete MCLE credits.  Note that you have at least 30 days to complete the task below as of today.  

There are 3 sets of instructions attached. 

  1. Payment by Mail: Even though CRLA will be printing a check for bar dues, attorneys will still need to complete this part of the renewal process. We are offering a California Lawyers Association subscription and the chance to add 1 specialty to that subscription.  No need to send invoice copies to Finance. 
  2. Attorney Record Verification: The State Bar of CA needs to verify your public attorney information. 
  3. CTAPP: Currently, all attorneys have a Client Trust Account on file. This is managed by me, as I am your CRLA Agency Billing Administrator with the State Bar of CA. However, as part of the
