Case Funding Code - Advanced Grant Filters
Why is the funding code I want to use not available? Watch this short video to find out!
The video above goes through the steps and gives a visual aid to the information below. I know it's not easy to read the Advanced Grant Filters, and we are trying to get Legal Server to improve the ease of use, but the advanced grant filters will determine why funding codes are or are not available. If you have a certain funding code in mind, you can attempt to take the requirements and break them down 1 by 1 and see why it is or is not available.
1. Understanding why Funding Codes are unavailable
- Go to the funding code selector on the case and click “Show Advanced Grant Filter Status.” This reveals which funding codes are available—and why certain ones aren’t.
- If the case details (like demographic fields or financial information) don’t meet the rules defined by the Advanced Grant Filters, the code won’t show up or won’t be selectable. This screen helps pinpoint which fields are causing the mismatch.
2. Verify Case Criteria and Grant Requirements
- Double-check that your case information (e.g., client demographics, problem codes, financial eligibility) aligns with what the grant requires. If a grant is strictly for veterans, but the client isn’t marked as a veteran, the system will prevent you from using that funding code.
- Make sure any necessary fields are accurately filled in. If details are missing or incorrect, update the case record so it meets the grant’s conditions.
